Hi! I’m MaKenzie, a small town Virginia girl who somehow ended up planting roots in Grovetown, Georgia. I have a degree in interior design, which sounds unrelated to photography until you realize that both are really just about seeing the beauty in a space and knowing exactly where the light should fall.

I have always been a creator at heart. Whether I’m baking sourdough on a Saturday morning, hunting for the perfect find at an antique shop, or chasing my little boy Crew around the backyard. I am someone who notices the small things. The in between things. The moments that happen right before you look at the camera, or right after. The ones that feel like a movie scene nobody else caught. Those are the moments I live for behind a lens.

I started photographing because I couldn’t stop seeing stories everywhere I looked. A wedding day isn’t just the kiss at the altar. A family session isn’t just everyone smiling at the same time. It’s the laugh that snuck out, the hand that reached for yours, the look that said everything without saying a word. That’s what I’m chasing every single time.

When I’m not behind the camera you’ll find me rewatching Gilmore Girls for the hundredth time, sneaking chocolate chip cookies, loving on my family, and thanking God for a life that feels like mine. I am so glad you’re here and I cannot wait to tell your story.
